Been for my fitting, they have now said my radiotherapy will start on 4th November
sounds like you have some sunshine up there, we have had nothing but rain for the past week.
enjoy the rest of your week x
Hi Del oh well gives you longer to eat all those things be that normally yiu shouldn’t eat. I put 11 lb in in run up to treatment starting knowing I would loose that and even more in the weeks to come. We are overnight in Spain at the moment we have a long term rental on an apartment and for obvious reasons didn’t get to use it much much last year so here for a few weeks them back home ready for winter. Brr
keep on smiling Hazel ,
Hiya sorry didn't realise you were on holiday, they told me today I mustn't put on any weight, as it will affect the mask fitting, and the radiation won't hit where it is supposed to, so no chips for me lol, well Both enjoy your holiday, and we'll speak when you get back.
Del x
Hi Del no problem keep posting I check every night we are here but nit really in holiday we spend a good few weeks here ,just live like we do back home , ie we ride our bikes read to outbfor walks ,but don’t treat it like holiday as such couldn’t afford to do that ! Lol we are lucky enough to be able to do what we do for now, hubby worked 40 year so underground in the coal mines so let him see a bit of daylight lol. Ok re nit putting weight in I had a 9 week build up to my treatment starting before mask was made hence why I could eat what I wanted. Sorry but thick if me. h xx but please ask away like I said I keep checking daily

Okey dokey, enjoy your evening,xx
Turning a corner I think, well i’m hoping so x
Hi there, my husband finished treatment 6weeks ago for tongue cancer, T2 N3 M0, he had 2 cycles of chemo followed by 6 weeks radiotherapy with weekly chemo chucked in the mix. I've read the blogs religiously on this site and I found them so helpful. It's been a tough road to say the least but his recovery is quite remarkable, eating more or less back to normal and peg is being removed in 2 weeks. I wish you all the best for your treatment and a very positive outcome.
