My darling mum

I posted a few weeks ago and someone was very kind and replied.

My mum died at 2.20 am. I’m absolutely heartbroken.  My sister and I were with her at the end, telling her we love her and what a fantastic mum she is.

I am now back at home, alone as I am recently divorced.  The pain is indescribable.

  • Hello Menalau,

I am so sorry for your loss. I wanted to send you our condolences on behalf of the Cancer Chat team. It must be a heartbreaking time for you and your family and how moving that you were with her at the end telling her how much you loved her.

I am sorry to hear you are recently divorced. I hope you have some support around you, that you have friends and family by your side during this difficult time.

We are all here for you if you need to talk. Many here have lost a loved one and know exactly how you are feeling at the moment.

    Warmest wishes,

    Lucie, Cancer Chat Moderator

  • It is unbelievably painful. My mum died in March and in the weeks afterwards I thought I would never get through it. Lean on friends and family, cry when you need to but also think about the happy memories. Start a memory box of photos, things to remember her by. It really helped me.

    Sending hugs
