Literally an hour ago I found out my mum has breast cancer. She needs a lumpectomy and radiotherapy. I feel a bit in shock and I just don't know what to do with myself. I don't even know how to start processing it.
It is a big shock, isn't it. I was diagnosed with tyroid cancer a while ago and I'm currently waiting for the outcome of something found during a routine mammogram. My daughter was so upset, but we both found it helped to talk to each other about it openly. Tell your mum how you are feeling and ask her to share her feelings with you. Stay positive x
My dad was diagnosed last year. It's an awful feeling and if I'm honest with you I'm not even sure that now, a year later, I can process everything that happened within thatyear. It's soul destroying and unreal. But remember that you always have your family and friends around you to talk to and comfort you. I hope that everything works out and I hope all the best for your family.
