LynPW - husband diagnosed with linitis plastica

My husband was diagnosed with linitis plastica last week, after 3 gastroscopies anda CT scan. He has lost 20 kilos in the last three months. We are waiting for a hospital in Manchester to get in touch with an appointment to see an oncologist as the cancer has left deposits and there is also lymph node involvement, so resection not an option. Would be grateful to hear if anyone has any advice on reflux and spasmodic hiccups. Thanks

    A big welcome to Cancer Chat. I am sorry to hear that your husband has just been diagnosed with linitis plastica and 20 kilos is a lot of weight indeed to lose in such a short space of time.

    I hope you will meet others here who have been affected by the same rare condition. I did a little search on our forum for you and found that a few members posted a few months ago about linitis plastica. This includes [@AMM64]‍ on this thread, and [@Twish77]‍  and [@Cornwall]‍ also posted their story here so feel free to respond to their posts and I hope they will be along shortly to share their experience and perhaps give you some suggestions to deal with reflux and spasmodic hiccups.
