Hi. My hubby has lung and liver cancer. Diagnosed 2 weeks ago but had no symptoms. He all of a sudden feels sick all the time and won't eat. He has to dink at least 2 liters of water each day which is a struggle. Any advice welcome

ive not got much advice to give from a liver point of view. My mam had lung cancer and has cough but not much else.
Try and vary food items and drinks - juice. Flavoured tea. Fizzy pop.milk , my dad loves slush puppies type frozen drinks - anything really will help drink volume . If he's not hungry and is loosing weight his GP might prescribe high calorie drinks. Fruit sweets like Opal friuits
are refreshing too. Ask advice from his GP. Maybe then can prescribe antisickness. Or even buy travel sickness tablets. Or even ginger biscuits.
Hi Effie. Thanks for the reply. Am already doing all the above except for the sickness tablets. We have appt today and will ask his consultant. Dietitian has given some Protein smoothie drinks which he finds hard to drink. Palliative team coming to visit tomorrow and hopefully will get some more advise.
No. He had no symptoms at all. We spent 2 months in Spain and were out every day. It was only the day we came back he had pain in the stomach area which was caused by the hernia. I'm sure the doctor in A&E wouldn't have just made it up. She actually called be aside and told me before discussing it with my husband. He starts chemo on Thursday morning

Lol. I didn't mean it to come across that way. A few years ago my hubby's voice went funny. Sent straight to the cancer hospital and had a camera down his throat but all was OK. Fingers crossed you're OK.
