Based on my own experience of lumpectomy, very little pain. Took paracetamol for a couple of days afterwards but certainly didn’t need anything else. Are you having any lymph nodes removed? I found that more uncomfortable than the lumpectomy.
Thank you for your reply riley roo I appreciate it very much. Luckily lymph nodes aren't affected they said they've caught it at a very early stage which is good thank goodness for mammograms
Mine decided it was worth doing a check anyway. Probably about the only time they were thorough.
How are things with you now
Doing OK. I don’t think any one feels the same about themselves or their life after going through cancer and treatment so I just try and do what I can with what I have.
Managed to do quite a lot tho since I completed it all nearly two years ago. Got divorced, finally and moved house. Now attempting to plan a phased retirement from work, went back six weeks after completing radiotherapy.
Damn the changes to the pension scheme!!!
Well well done you. Glad to hear you've completed your therapy etc. Your life changes sound really exciting too although stressful too. It is a very strange feeling being diagnosed with cancer I really don't think its sunk in yet I'm sure it will hit me after my op on Friday. They haven't decided on radiotherapy yet tell me after the op. It is disgusting what the government is doing with your pensions
