Looking for another discussion?

3 Nov 2014 16:56

You might find that a discussion you are following has moved home, but don't worry. All your posts have been moved from the old site.

We have tried to automatically redirect as many posts as we could but as you can imagine there are thousands!

The easiest way to find discussions you have either posted yourself or are following is to go to MY ACTIVITY where you'll find a list of

* all the discussions you've started
* all the discussions you're following and
* all the replies you've posted

You might also find it useful to search for your thread name in the search bar which is on every page.

If you posted on the old forum during the last few days, you may find your post listed below.

*My Dad

*Continuing the journey

*I think it's back !!!!!

*Thoughts on the dying process

*Another urgent colonoscopy

*amazing quotes

*Some goodish news, but more tests needed.

*Loop excision in the morning. Got everything crossed

*just found out my mum has cancer

*tongue cancer - diagnosed two days ago

*PROSTATE CANCER - ANYONE BEEN THERE & DONE THAT?

If you have any questions please comment below or contact one of our moderators and we'll help you find what you're looking for.

Thank you and our apolgies if this has caused you any inconvenience,

Sarah

Hello Overwhelmed,

If you click on your user name underneath the blank avatar to the left of your comment above then this will take you to a list of the discussions that you have previously been involved with.

Alternatively, from the home page of Cancer Chat you can access your profile on the right hand side of the page.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you are still struggling to find a particular discussion and we will do our best to help you.

Best wishes,

Jenn

Nothing to do with this thtread but?

When I tried to logon it didn't recognise me. After a lot of going in circles I managed to change my password

(to what it was already) and managed to get on. That was yesterday. This morning it rejected my logon

attempt when I used colinb. A second attempt got me in using my email address. I am totally unimpressed.

Could we please have he old system back!  Att the moment I can see no plusses with the new system.

Speaking as an ex IT specialist that is.

Hi Colin, I'm concerned you're having problems. Would it be ok if we emailed you? I will need to know what device you're using and exactly what is happeing as this isn't something we're aware is happening to anyone else

thanks and hopefully we'll have you back up and running soon

Hi Sarah,

When I logon (from 'my favourites) it brings me directly to this screen with my tag 'Colinb' in the top blue bar.

If I click on 'My Activity' it takes me out to the Google search box in which it

shows 'cancer research uk user cancer chat' and not to a list of threads I have posted on.

This has always worked satisfactorily till now.

Feel free to email me. I use a Dell laptop.

Thanks Colin. I'm going to talk to our technical people right away and see if they have any idea what is happeing and why

Morning Colin. I've spoken at length with our technical people but they can't think what it could be but have asked whether if possible you could email me some screenshots? If you email to cancerchat@cancer.org.uk we will have  look for you

thanks once again
