Hi Billy,

We have now been told that his cancer has spread to his bladder. It didn't happen over weeks. The doctors revisited the MRI scan they had looked st ig before. This missed this information before as s result, we got a localised advanced prostate cancer diagnosis whereas now, they are saying that its Stage 4 only just because its spread to his bladder. I am really annoyed that they missed this information before.we are getting a second opinion. I have lost my trust in these doctors.

Have they sorted out treatment yet the sooner the better good luck shame you can't change Dr's but it'd take longer to get sorted then,, i was lucky with my specialist, but even then from being diagnosed to starting treatment was over FOUR months what with scans and biopsy.. Again best wishes.. Billy

Our process started in mid August and still ongoing. The only treatment option left is Hormone therapy, which he has started already, Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy. But we have used our private medical health insurance to get a second opinion. Have appointment next Friday, see what happens. But my question is, my the cancer has spread just outside the prostate and a little in his bladder because it's so close to it. It's considered as a stage 4 because of that, but it's not spread anywhere else. How long do people live with such cancer spread?

Hi Billy, sorry I have one more question, can I husband claim state pension earlier than his pension age? Because of the non curable stage.

Early pension, i honestly didn't know he will be classed as disabled and should be able to get attendance allowance you should get carers allowance, and if you go to council you should get money off council tax there is loads of paperwork though hope you have good luck you deserve it.. Billy

Hi Billy, please don't worry about it, but yes that's what I meant. I want to know how long he has with us. Cannot imagine my life without him. What about general mortality rates for this type of cancer? It's not spread everywhere just his prostate and a little in his bladder. Because it's out of his prostate and now inside his bladder, its classed as a stage 4 but the doctor said technically it's between stage 3 and 4. It's not spread anywhere else. Thanks
