Likelihood of ovarian cancer vs endometriosis

Hiya, I'm curious about other women's experiences... I've had a whole weird array of symptoms and I am due a hysteroscopy in a week but I'd like to understand a little more about other peoples symptoms. So far mine are:

A constant dull ache in my pelvis (sometimes it's so bad my lower back hurts too) and in my uterus (like when you're due on)

Nausea which has been going on for about 7yrs (mostly after eating but sometimes just random) - this was dismissed as hormonal and I have anti sickness tablets for when it's bad

Bleeding after sex (that started about three months ago, first time was a small amount of blood but second time was quite a lot and I bled/brown discharge for about 2wks after)

Weird discharge on and off for the last month (ranging from gloopy thick jelly to thin watery discharge)

Thickening of the endometrium (despite being on the pill)  which was flagged on an ultrasound

Negative for HPV but some cervical ectropion

This weird thing when I pee sometimes... it's like some doesn't come out and then I have to go again like 5mins later.

Breast tenderness but off and on and only in my left breast

Im 38, healthy, 5'6" 62kg so not overweight, no family history of anything... it's super unlikely to be any kind of cancer right?? I'd be really keen to hear other peoples symptoms or if you've had similar symptoms and what it turned out to be? Im not super worried but I do keep letting my wander to "what if" the info online is so confusing.

  • Hi Louloumay153,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. Unfortunately it's difficult for anyone to advise on your symptoms - it's only your doctor who can do this, and usually after conducting any necessary tests.

But if anyone has similar experience to share then hopefully they'll be along soon to add replies to your post.

Do try to avoid looking things up online as the information is often irrelevant and only tends to increase worries.

I hope your appointment comes around quickly.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
