Hi,I'm not medical at all but I have always been told that the worst things don't hurt, Germany a GPS to check it the quicker you do the less time to worry and let imagination take over all the best midnightfish

Hello, Kelsie,

Thanks  for posting a question. I am sorry to learn that you have concerns about your health.

We are often contacted by people who are worried about their health and they ask us what might be the matter. But it is very difficult for us to say very much as there are often a number of different conditions that could be causing someone’s symptoms. With regards to your lump, it could be a swollen gland due to infection. I don’t think that you can rule this out completely because you feel well.

While it is fair to say that some lumps turn out to be cancerous, most lumps are benign (not cancer).  But because we cannot reliably diagnose the cause of your lump, it would be a good idea to make an appointment to see your GP. to get it properly checked out.  They will be able to assess the lump decide what needs to be done. So do get a check up to be on the safe side.

I hope you know more about your situation soon. If you have any other questions you are welcome to get back to us. If you would like to telephone our freephone number is 0808 8004040. We are here from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am to 5pm.

Best wishes,

Jean
