About CancerSaw the GP today and have been told my urine sample had blood and white blood cells in...no infection. She has told me it's ovarian cancer. I'm awaiting a scan for further news. Absolutely destroyed.
You've been told you have ovarian cancer just from a urine sample?? I'm undergoing investigation for ovarian cancer and I'm pretty sure there needs to be a blood test and scan to confirm such a thing. Have you perhaps misunderstood or is this not the full story?
Doctor told me I have it based on urine sample. Am on two week pathway for scans and blood tests to show the extent. Had a blood test a year ago which was all normal...at that point. But now she has said in her vast experience by sample results are due to ovarian cancer.
After I did a urine test and a CA125 test along with all my other symptoms I was told it could be Ovarian cancer and I got put on the urgent 2 week wait I was devastated ,in the end it wasn't anything serious after all the tests .
Please, take a deep breath and wait for further tests. It could mean anything and without a CT scan or MRI nothing is confirmed.
