Let's beat cancer sooner

7 Mar 2018 15:13

Hi. My hubby was dx for the first time in 2011 with mouth and throat cancer. It was treated and he was cancer free for 5+ years. Cancer raised it's ugly head again in 2016. Two months ago, he was given less than one year to live. This is going so fast. I watch him daily deterioate right in front of my eyes. I'm not ready for this. We have been married 34 years, which is our entire adult lives. I am so lost.

Hello decoradiva.  Time never goes fast when we want it to and conversely never slows down in accordance with our wishes either.   This must be so frightening for you and I hope that you have family around to support you. Many posters on this forum have been in your situation and will know how you are feeling.  It might help you to either (a) speak to the nurses on this website Freefone 0808 808 4040 Mon-fri 9am-5pm; or (b) ring MacMillan Cancer Support (Freefone 0808 808 0000) - they will give support to anyone affected by cancer.  I do hope you can find some help.  Annie
