In Remission (NHL) - IBS?

Hi All

im currently In remission from Burkitt Lymphoma and have been having IBS symptoms as of late - More urgent, more  frequent, Diarrhea etc. (Usually after food)

just wondering if anyone else has had bowel problems as a long-term side effect of treatment? I had RCodoxM/R-IVAC, so it's pretty easy to imagine that amount of chemo would have some long lasting effects.

anyone any advice on how best to deal with toilet trouble?

  • Hello AnxiousAsAMouse,

While reading through the forum I noticed your post and wanted to stop by to say I'm sorry that you have to deal with these IBS symptoms.

Other forum members who have experienced a similar situation will probably come along shortly with advice but until they do I thought I might leave you with this page from our website which covers bowel problems in people with cancer. Also, feel free to reach out to our team of nurses if you think that speaking with someone on the phone might help. They're available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on this freephone 0808 800 4040.

I hope this helps and that you feel better soon.

    Best wishes,
