Had letter from hospital today. No results of biopsy but just itemising to my GP tests and procedures that were carried out. The letter mentioned endometrial polyps looked friable. Anyone know what this means?
The term friable means that something looks like it would easily crumble. When they carry out investigations doctors often use a variety of terms to describe what things look like. Although these terms are helpful when put together with other information, on their own they don’t tell the whole story. It is only the biopsy that will tell you whether or not your polyps are cancerous. So the best thing to do is wait for these results and not try to read too much into the GP letter at this stage.
I hope that helps.
