Hair thinning from taking Letrozole

Hi. I've been taking Femara now for nearly 8 years. The side effect I'm having the most problems with is hair thinning. My hair was fine anyway before Chemo and radio therapy 8 years ago, but it's got very fine now, especially on the front of my scalp. My hairdresser doesn't seem to know what to do. Can anyone recommend a hair product to make my hair feel and look thicker? Thanks PatK

Hi Patk, wish I could,mine is thinning too. Early days for me started taking in November. Naturally I have thick hair but have noticed more in plug hole. If lots go I will wear a scarf, we'll make it a fashion trend. Keep posting & we might find something. Pip

Have you tried Plantur caffeine shampoo the one that's advertised on TV for thinning hair and hair loss ,there's 2 a pink bottle and a green bottle on Amazon the green one works well for me and after the first wash my hair looked thicker ,it seems to be very good although my hair loss is from a different reason to yours ,its worth a try .

A wig/ partial wig is probs the best as any of the over various shampoos aren't designed for hair loss due to oestrogen depletion and can only do so much whilst you still take Letrozole.
