Good morning folks,
Thanks for all your kind words. I have downloaded a load more pictures yesterday which I would love to share with you all over the next few weeks.
Gemini, you ask where I get them from, well they come from several differnt sites.
I'm feeling on top of the world today!!!
A really stunning freeze frame photo.
Another action photo.
Mum, I'm just taking the goose for a walk along with Teddy.
I do hope you all enjoy todays selection, Brian.
Really am enjoying this thread and lovely selection today, especially like the kingfisher. These two shots were taken the other day when I was kept amused by the parakeet trying to work out the best way to get on the nut feeder (half a hour later he made it!!!) Jules
No cococat, these are wild ones that often pop in as they fly between our parks. I agree they have a lovely colour but are very greedy! Hope you and your Dad are doing ok. Jules
Good morning folks,
Thanks for the kind words.
Took Mrs B shopping earleir and when I opened my car door in Tescos car park, the wind nearly took the door off it's hinges and as I still had hold of the door, It acted just like an ejector seat. I dont think I have ever exited the car so quickly ha ha. I now know the meaning of wind assisted.
So todays pictures are all action pictures.
This guys cheating, not that I would want to argue that with him.
Now that what you call putting one paw in front of the other.
It not overhead power lines you have to worry about here!!!
No overtaking on the outside????
Seeing him coming, I think even I would produce an extra twenty miles an hour ha ha, Provided it was only for a short while!!!!!
I hope you all like todays submissions, Brian
Great actions shots Brian. Love the white horses and majestic lion.
Like you was 'wind assisted' on my walk to see Mum today. Normally takes me about half hour.....was there in 25mins! Have spent the morning dodging the showers as pointless trying to keep the brolly up.
Hope you having a peaceful day after being windswept at the supermarket and there were more nuts to be had. Jules
Afternoon Brian, hope you've recovered from the shock this morning! I thought for one awful moment you were going to say you'd sprained your wrist or something!
Yesterday's pictures were all great, and today I especially like the wonderful horses.
Thanks Brian, enjoy your evening with Mrs B.
Hi Jules, love your photos of the parakeet - that's one determined bird! You are lucky with the range of birds in your area, I have to say.
I did have a bit of a (nice) surprise the other day though, hundreds of starlings flying over, wheeling about then all stopping to rest on every available tree and rooftop - but suddenly, at some unknown (to us) signal off they all flew, no doubt heading for Brighton and all points South and West. I'm guessing they were incoming birds from eastern europe passing through - apparently they tend to arrive around Oct/Nov. It wasn't quite as spectacular as the flocks at Brighton pier (I bet Brian's seen that) or in the West Country (Kim and Sue have probably seen those) but I was still mesmerised by my own little murmuration!
Take care, hope Mum was alright today, after your wet and windswept trip.
Good morning everyone,
Thanks folks. Jules, Belive it or not I didnt buy any nuts yesterday as I still have plenty left. Mrs B was quite concerned as she thought I was ill not wanting any nuts ha ha. I told her dont worry I will make up for it at the weekend. Cant go without my nuts for long
I bet he keep warm with his thick winter coat.
With those hornes, its a wonder he/ she can hold her head up. (The animal not the woman)
A show of affection for a friend.
Something corney going on here.
Hi, my name is blossom.
Hope you like todays selection, Brian.
Birds are amazing (as are most animals) Loved reading your post Hazel. I am lucky to see many types birds sitting on the front & back walls. I have asked santa to bring me some binoculars to see them more clearly. So at Christmas I shall become a twitcher
