  • I'm sorry to hear about your Dad and the financial mess you have been left in.  Either call Citizen's advice or look up Solicitors in your area who often give advice free of charge.  You will need one that deals with people who have died intestate (without leaving a Will).  It can be very complicated and you need legal advice as you were financially dependent on him.  Don't be scared to call them, I worked with many solicitors throughout my working life and they are there to help you.  Take care and good luck. • I'm so sorry to hear of your dad's passing Afrohair and on behalf of the Cancer Chat Moderation Team, you have our sincerest and heartfelt condolences for your loss.

Sadly things can get very tricky if a will isn't in place but hopefully the financial guidance service offered by Macmillan will be able to help. If you give them a call on 0808 808 00 00 you will be able to speak with a financial adviser who will be able to work through your situation with you and let you know what options are available to you.

Citizen's Advice offer information and advice on work, money and housing so do be sure to pop over to their website when you can as well.

I hope this proves to be a good starting point and that some of our members who have experience of being in a similar situation will offer their support and advice to you soon.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
