Hello Seabird, lovely to hear from you but so sorry to hear about your little mate Alfie.  It's awful isn't it - our only consolation is that we give them a good life while we have them.

Sending hugs, keep safe.

Hi Gemini sorry things are tough for you & the last thing you need is all the trouble with your mans work. Hope he gets a good job soon. Bless your dad for being there for you. Don’t be too hard on yourself as it’s early days in the grieving process

Your little boy will soon get the hang of the potty mind you I only had girls so what do I know!I guess I will find out when Arlo gets to that stage.

Take care rambling rose x

Hi Hazel

how are you? I didn’t realise quite how much I would miss little Alf. For such a little thing he had such a big presence. Have you got any pets?

take care x

Hi Gemini,

The same sort of thing happened to me with one of my past employers. He owed me about £2,000  and as he was almost bust I had no chance of getting my money off him. Then some moneths later he wanted me to ga back and do a job for him. I told him if he payed me the money he owed from the past , I might consider it and I never heard any more from him. Last I heard, he was out of work hiself and allthough Im normally a forging sort, I thought it served him right. We struggled for several months due to that man so I do understand what you are going through, Brian

Hi all Happy waffling woman here. In bed after a busy day. Started off accepting a cataract op slot for May 7th - feeling a right wuss about that!! Then I made myself “walk the lane” sounds like a Johnny Cash song Happy as most of the time I am either laying down on the bed or sofa & findingi it hard to walk even with my stick. So am on a mission to build up my leg muscles. Next was a pedicure from my lovely neighbour followed by an hours WhatsApp chat with my eldest-sparrow who lives in Phoenix. Thank God for

Hi Seabird,

Good to see you back.  Life is jogging along for me and the family.  Currently have my daughter and two grandsons (now 5 & 10) staying for a few days during their Easter school holidays and tomorrow we will be meeting up with my son, daughter in law and the youngest two grandchildren (Darcey will be 3 in May and Ethan is now 9 months).  Not sure where the time goes but seem to manage to fill the days when I am not at work (only do 2 shifts now).  With the improving weather the garden is beginning to spring into life and I look foward to being able to sit out there again. Take care. Jules x

Hi  Seabird,

It sounds the perfect way to be enjoying a relaxing sunny  Spring day. Hopefully will aid your recovery after yesterday's exertions.......the price we pay for slightly over-doing it!!

Am taking an afternoon break in the garden whilst my  visitors meet up with old friends today. I popped to visit Mum this morning (she has not verbally communicated with me for some weeks but appears to listen to my family updates when she is awake). Also had good news at my gym this morning as it revealed a 2lb weight loss during the past 7 days so obviously doing something right ha ha.

I have built in my Easter treats over the coming weekends ... a little bit of chocolate does you I've heardLaugh

Look after yourself. Jules x

Hi all Happy

Congrats on the weight loss Jules I need to start being good after Easter goodies. Would love to sit in your garden with you as I still miss my garden as I only have a yard but I don’t miss the back aches.

Have a good day all xx

Hi Seabird,

Your CD sounds nice. We dont seem to have many instrumentals these days. Some time ago I bought Mrs B an internet radio. They have a station on it that is called Dreamboats and Petticoats, and they play the music that they have on the CD'sof the same name. No break for news or adds just nonstop music. They play a lot of instrumentals on there like the Shadows and Duane Eddy. We both Like it a lot.

Take care, Brian
