Hi Seabird

Had some technical issues this morning which kept me off the site but as my son popped in to deal with a plumbing issue(not for me but in the bathroom ha ha) he has sorted everything out now.

Ramble all you like as I find it helps at times of emotional fall out.  Wish my Mum was still talking but has now given up apart from with one particular carer bless her.  Still she has to listen to my waffling when I visit.

Hopefully the snowfall will have melted away by the time sparrow is due into Gatwick and my son says the main road were fine as had been treated.  My daughter had to cancel her pop in to me today but know the family are having great fun in the garden!!

Glad you still have the radio (I play music through the t.v. or my laptop as well as the music system a still not mastered the art of downloading to my phone like the kids do!!) for company.  I like to listen to music when the tv is off as it is like having company in the house.

Still snowing here at present  so my earlier footprints in the garden have now disappeared and it looks as though I will be staying inside today as do not fancy dragging my shopping trolley through the white stuff.

Take care and stay warm.  Jules xx

Oh Gemini that sounds awful. I hate the snow! It may look pretty but its so dangerous. My youngest (the pregnant one whose nickname is angelchops) & her partner are in Dunstable visiting his family as its his birthday tomorrow. She has promised they wont drive back home to bristol if its dodgey.

Stay warm x

Hi Seabird,

Glad you liked the picture.  It took me a while to get the  hang of it (slow learner) but Woodworm told me what to do and my kids still have to help me sort out more than the basics on the computer.  Also had a glitch yesterday when I could only read and not reply on the forum hence late response.  Moderator Renata was very helpful and patient and between her, me and my children on the phone it appears to be okay now!

Most of my snow is now gone but has been replaced by heavy sleety rain and a chilly wind so I had five layers on plus my wellingtons (must have looked quite funny) to walk to local shops and gym. Think it took longer to unwrap and wrap up than it did to actually do the gym circuit ha ha.

Hope you keeping cosy with Alfie and nearly time for sparrow to join you. Jules xx

Pleased you are feeling a bit better today, Seabird.  Sparrow will soon be here Happy

I was glad you still have Bruce the spruce from last year, I hate to see poor little trees thrown out with the rubbish after they've given so much pleasure over the Christmas season, which is why I cheat and have an artificial one.

Sending a big hug.

Hazel xx

Hi Seabird,

This forum is great at supporting each other; makes it a special place to be with life's ups and downs.  Glad you are feeling better and will now be counting down the hours to your sparrow's visit.  Will now see my own daughter and family for my Christmas visit as they could not travel down last weekend (much more snow than I had).  Fingers crossed everyone can travel safely when the time comes.

Hope you nicely snuggled up with Alfie.  Sending hugs.  Jules x

Good morning friends Happy

I had a good day yesterday. Firstly Suzy came round with her mother of the groom outfit. Her son is getting married on 30th december in our local castle. I shall be going to the wedding & reception but the evening party will be too much for me. I have known her boy since he was a twinkle in his mums eyes & have often looked after him.

Then I went to my hairdresser who cut my hair in a chin length bob which I'm very happy with. Much easier to handle.

Stay warm "up counrty" xx

Hi Seabird,

It's lovely when friends pop in and share their excitement too.  Bet you will thoroughly enjoy the wedding and reception though will probably be cream crackered the following day.  Will be worth it to share in such a happy celebration.

I was also at the hairdresser yesterday and treated myself to a few colourful highlights for the festive season as well as usual trim (have short hair), Makes it easier to look after ha ha.

Warmer and wet today but at least easy to commute to work.

Take care, Jules x

Hi Jules

bet your highlights look great. I used to have them but can't do the sink that my hairdresser uses so I'm brunette. Have been waiting to go silver but tis not happening.

Just been talking to sparrow. She may stop off at bristol with her sister or drive straight down depending on how she feels. So it may be friday before I see her. As long as she's safe!!

take care x
