Daughter to an amazing father suffering HCC

6 Mar 2018 09:53

I am new to the forum, my father was newly diagnosed at xmas with stage 4 hCC.

He has breathlessness and has just been in hospital for 10 days with a chest infection:( he is very strong though but I was wondering if i could get some advice?

Is it normal to ask for oxygen to take home?

Is it normal to be breathless?

Is muscle wastage a symptom of cancer?

Welcome to Cancer Chat,  mariaT although I'm sorry about the reason that brings you here.

As you ask these questions about your father's condition I thought I might send you some information we have on our website about liver cancer and I hope this can help you a little.

Also, our cancer nurses will be happy to chat with you if you have any questions you might want to ask someone medically trained. Their free phone number is 0808 800 4040 and are available Monday - Friday from 9 a.m - 5 p.m.

Best wishes to you and your father,
