Two weeks ago i went to the gp with a suspected lump/change in breast. He referred for a scan, the next day i got a call with a date for the following week. The following week came and i went for "scan" when i arrived was examined then told that he would refer for scan, that he could use the scanner in the room but may aswell wait for the bigger better one. I came away confused...... i have rang back twice found out initially that i am now referred for an ultrasound..... and that it can take up to 4 weeks!!! 

Im confused as many others havent described this as the process
