Hi I had whipple surgery for a duodenal lesion that turned out earliest of cancers that needed no follow up chemo or treatment as all nodes where clear and no spread

Over 3 weeks ago I had a fever and was in hospital for 1 week due to infection the blood culture tests  showed streptococcus bacteria and I've now received appointments for echocardiogram endoscopy and colonoscopy I'm terrified theres something more sinister around the corner

After been given all clear in January to this am I over reacting

    Hi Derek,

    How I wish that we could give guarantees, but sadly this is imposible. It is only by carrying out these tests that you will know for sure. As someone who has had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 11 years, I can fully understant your concerns. I hope that your appointments have all come through and that you don't have too long to wait.

    I would sincerely hope that, having been given the all clear so recently, nothing untoward will be found, but you are just as well to get this checked out for your own peace of mind.
