Clear cell ovarian cancer, anyone else too?

Hi my name is Jo. Today I was diagnosed with clear cell ovarian cancer. Stage 1.......I thought that's not too bad it's been caught early. But then Google got in the way (!) and I'm now led to believe that it's one of the most aggressive types of ovarian cancer.

So I'm waiting for an appointment to "discuss my chemotherapy options" and seem to be on the emotional roller coaster from hell.

If anyone has had a similar diagnosis, or is on the same roller coaster and wants to chat, I'm now here, I have arrived on this forum!!

I'm now off to explore the inspiration section.......

  • I'm sorry to hear you've been diagnosed with clear cell ovarian cancer Jo.

Many members here have also given in to the temptation of using 'Dr Google' but as you've found out it can make things seem worse than they might actually be so do try to stop doing it if you can. If you would like to find out more about your diagnosis I would recommend giving our cancer nurses a call next week. Their number is 0808 800 4040, which is free to call from a UK landline, and is open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

Good luck for your appointment Jo and let us know how you get on when the time comes.

    All the best,
