I have advanced bowel cancer but have just started day 2 of the above drug. My temperature is 35.5 C - is it normal for it to be a little lower than normal when on this chemo ?

Hi Elizabeth,
Best to ring your nominated nurse (if you have one) or the hospital number on your chemo card for advice. When I was in chemo I was told to ring them if my temperature varied much or if I had any concerns. It is probably nothing but it is worth ringing them if only for your peace of mind.
Best wishes
Dave
I had my chemo briefing last night from the oncologist and he said a low temperature can Also be a sign of infection and is a cause for concern. Definitely get it checked out.
Thank you Dave - I didn't want to bother them if it was 'normall'. That is helpful.
