Cancer ‘fake news’ busted

Open a newspaper and you’ll see much of the cancer related news in the media focuses on misleading and alarming headlines about the causes of cancer, only for those same causes to become preventatives the next day. The internet is also a minefield of misinformation.  Many so called miracle cures are bogus, but some bloggers, posing as trusted figures of authority, continue to spread ideas that are dangerously misleading. Our CRUK scientists have compiled some tips here to help you work out the real from the fake.
