Bowel wall thickening

Hi, 5 years I was diagnosed with colon cancer and had my right side of colon removed.. I had 8 rounds of chemo and have been having check ups, ct scans, bloods and colonoscopies over the last few years.. My last ct scan was in June and now I have to have another colonoscopy done because some bowel wall thickening showed up on my ct scan.. I know in the back of many people's minds is that the cancer may come back and it is something that is worrying me right now.

I'm hoping that it is nothing and trying not to think negative but it ain't easy

  • Hi dee1764,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. It sounds like you've been through a lot and I can completely understand that this uncertainty must be difficult at the moment. I hope it's not too long for you to wait for your next appointment and to find out more.

I'm sure there will be many people here who have experienced similar, or who may be going through something similar now, so hopefully you'll receive further replies soon.

    Wishing you all the best,

  • Hi Ben.

Thank you for your reply and yes iv been through the mill as they say. Myself and my brother were both diagnosed a year apart with bowel cancer but my brothers spread and now he's terminal. So with that and all my problems it's a lot to deal with, but I'm trying to be positive even if it's just for my brother.
