One for Hazel and hope it cheers you up.
Hope you enjoy todays selection, Brian.
I belong to a large wood group and we have a few craft fairs so I display and sell them at these events. I have a tree day one at the end of this month at a beautiful large local garden and a two day one in July so stocking up for these. I dont do it for the money as I like meeting people especially those who like me love wooen things.
It has always bugged me to see lovely timber bieng dumped or burnt. Most of what I use came into the country as bearers on the bottoms of palletts. Some of the timbers are not species that are commercially imported so have had some unusual one. The penquin bodys is a timber from the rosewood family and takes a nice polish. I have enough timber to last me until I am 150 years old as I am mainly turning smaller items these day.
I dont mind you asking at all. Take care, Brian.
A few pictures after I spent time in my own garden for a change. I have been trying to increase my planting for the butterflies and bees and also treated myself to a new wind chime. Timing was very good as it is now teeming with rain so hopefully the new plants will appreciate the natural watering (even if don't).
Thanks for all the pics over the last couple of days Brian. Love the craftsmanship in wood. The London scene photograph is beautiful and would love that on my wall. Have not put any paintings up since had it redecorated last year!! Thanks for sharing and hope the owls sell well. Jules
Glad you enjoyed looking at the photos. Most of them are ones I have downloaded over a period of time. I do find looking at beautiful pictures has a calming effect on me which is why I pit them on here. If you have any you would like to share please feel free to do so. Best wishes, Brian.
Hi Brian and hello to newbie Annie too.
Certainly some lovely pictures today to raise the spirits and enjoy. Thank you and hope you have a pleasant day.
Was going to share a picture of the colourful bouquet we bought Mum for her birthday today but phone did not want to play ball so will just say it was full of yellows and oranges and has brightened her room up for her. It is sitting alongside a beautiful white orchid which the staff at her residential home bought for her. Jules
