Welcome to this friendly and supportive forum. Yes, I totally agree with you, looking at photos or videos can have a very calming effect. All the photos I have put on here are ones I have downloaded. I am someone who likes all sorts of pictures but as I am also a "tree freak" I love pictures of unusual trees. I have quite a cllection of photos I have taken over the years and beech trees seem to be one on the ones that grow more mishapen than others.
I have read your posts and hope that things work out okay for you. My brother in law has had chemo for prostate cancer recently and suffered very little effect from it. so Lets hope you dont have any problems either.
Sending best wishes and kind thoughts your way, Brian.
Yes Jules, I think it must have been time lapse photography to get that many lightning strikes all on one photo but still nebertheless very impressive.
Here is todays offering
Another ice sculpture, Brian.
as a relative newbie to the site I've only just discovered your picture thread. I particularly like the one of the green northern lights. I hope one day my husband and I will return to Norway to see them.
I pinched a picture from a tweet from the international space station the other week. If I remember correctly its moon rise over Africa as seen by the commander on the ISS...Hope its ok to share on your thread.
Inula, I love it when people add to this thread and I am pleased you like the northern lights picture.
Inula, here ia another one for you. I like this one for it stands out so well against the snow, Hope you like this one, Brian.
Hi Brian, what a terrific picture of the Northern Lights! One of husband and my hopes to go and see them. Once my chemo and radio are over it will be a definite possibility! Best wishes xx
Good morning all,
Thanks Purplelily, Glad you liked that one. I did download lot of pictures of the northern lights but seem to have lost a lot of them.
Here is todays picture.
Another tranquil picture, Brian.
As both Inula and Purplelily like the northern lights photos, I have managed to fine a few more.
I hope you like this one and that you all get to go and see the lights in person in the near future.
Best wishes to you all, Brian.
Lord of the Rings is one of my favourite films (well...series of films) How I wish I could step into that picture right now and be in a land of fantasy and not reality!
Thank you for sharing
Glad you liked that on Inula.
Here is todays offering.
As a lot of you know I love trees so I just had to post this one. It looks as is they are all doing a snake dance and was expectiong to see a snake charmer in the background, Brian.

Good morning folks,
Its bright and sunny here in Sussex at the moment,
Thanks Susu and Inula. That remark is so true Inula. That is a nice way of looking at life and one I do believe in. Thank you for reming me of that.
Here is todays picture.
A huge carpet of flowers, Brian.
Thanks Inula, you are so right. With modern tecknology such as the digital camera, beautiful scenes can be shared so easily. We can be so wrapped up in our live we dont always see the beauty the world has to offer. I just love looking at some of these photos amd it always has a calming effect on me. The only problem is, It mahes me want to go and see them for real.
Anyway, after that ramble, here is todays offering.
I like this one, Brian.
I love the garden scene Brian. It reminds me of one of the gardens in Epcots world showcase - one of my favourite places in the world where my dear husband and I have spent several wonderful holidays. Thank you for sharing. It looks so tranquil
