I thibk once you finish your radiotherapy you will start then to get back I felt that while I was still having appointments I was in the system it felt like I wasn't ever gunna be free again , but it do change I promise when the appointments finish every day away from it it gets so much better .❤️
Your energy levels deffo come back slowly but I finished radio in nov I would say only the last month I have been actually the same as pre diagnosis I have more energy now than I have for years it was probably the c making me tired I feel 10 years younger now but at your time I was like you very tired just fed up and bored limbo couldn't drink or have fun as I was awaiting treatment ect x
Cheers Jacs, I had a glass last night - I start my radiotherapy on Wednesday. Good to hear Lara you feel totally back to normal. I still get extremely tired in spells. Think it was all the stress of tests as much as the treatment itself xx
Case
brilliant you at starting your radiotherapy on Wednesday good luck with this finish line here for you now finally hun
love Lara ❤️
You are totally justified to feel low. Interesting thing about our minds is that, we cannot stop thinking about things we do not want to (or probably should not) think about too much. As a result, we end up in a viscious cycle. A simple trick to get out of that cycle is to start thinking about something else. For example, It is probably a good time to search and find good news about possibilities. Let me help a little here!
Did you know that there are research suggesting your diet can affect cancer hugely? Prof Thomas Seyfried PhD from Boston College has quite a few lectures/discussions on youtube about that. While waiting for the treatment to start, this is something you can do on your own and hopefully, your mind will get excited and you will feel better. Interestingly, I heard him saying that they found treatments to be more effective and patients reported less side effects (both from chemo and raditation) while using both tools (diet and treatment) together.
Cancer diagnosis is a terrible event for anyone but if you understand the disease properly and use scientifically tested strategies, you will probably prove yourself to be the boss!
I pray you get well real quick!
