Like most people, I am really anxious about what lies ahead. 

I found a lump on my left lymph gland in December after a throat infection. Went to the docs, she said it was nothing to worry about. Was still there in February, different doc said same thing but took bloods - bloods were fine. I went back in March as I still didn't feel 'right' and got a referral to the ENT. 

I went fully expecting a scan and it to be a blocked node from an infection and nothing more. To my horror they found another lump on my thyroid 2.5cm and did a biopsy there and then.  

They said it looked 'borderline' not to worry too much. They said they would wait to see results of Thyroid before dealing with lump on lymph node. 

He also went on to say that results are often inconclusive so in that case they require to take lump out to examine. He said that in the event it is malignant it is very treatable. 

I got a fast track appointment for my biopsy results (two weeks) and my appointment is this Thursday. 

I am usually quite pragmatic but I have a bad feeling about this and have reacted badly. I am a singer and .my voice has  been hoarse and strained the past few months. I am so worried as I both a lump on thyroid and lymph so I'm preparing for them to say I will need surgery (or worse)

To add to the anxiety- I'm going on holiday with 6 friends in July and I'm so worried I will need to have surgery and cant go. Do you think they would let me postpone?

Waiting is agony!
