The Catalyst Club’s vision is that everyone will receive the most effective treatment to beat their cancer.  

Personalised medicine is set to revolutionise the way we treat cancer. It will enable doctors to choose the best treatments for an individual patient based on their genetic make-up and the characteristics of their cancer.

Why do we need personalised medicine?

Despite remarkable progress, cancer still claims the lives of more than 156,000 people every year in the UK.

Tailoring treatment to an individual patient and their cancer makes it more likely that treatment will be successful, ultimately helping to improve survival rates.

Our improving knowledge of cancer genetics, coupled with unparalleled advances in scientific technology, is bringing personalised medicine within our reach.
