Cancer Research UK Wedding Favours allow couples to thank their guests for celebrating their wedding by making a donation to life-saving research in place of a wedding favour.

We are looking for volunteers to help out on the Cancer Research UK stand at the upcoming autumn Wedding Shows in London, Birmingham and Manchester.

Why we need you:

We need your help to spread the word about how couples can make Cancer Research UK part of their big day through our wedding favours.

What will I be doing?

You will be engaging with brides and grooms to be, and their family and friends. Telling them about Cancer Research UK wedding favours, showing them samples, recording their data if they would like to hear from us, and collecting donations. You will be with a Cancer Research UK wedding favours team member on the stand, who will help out with any tricky questions.

What skills do I need?

We are looking for volunteers who are friendly and approachable. You will be able to communicate well. A passion for the work of Cancer Research UK is important.

What support will we give you?

You’ll be sent a volunteer brief a week before the event, outlining more detail about Cancer Research UK wedding favours, any questions you might be asked, and the event and stand location. You will also have the support of a member from the Cancer Research UK wedding favours team at the stand during the event.

What benefits can I expect?

  • The opportunity to develop communication skills
  • A chance to meet new people
  • The satisfaction of knowing you are making a valuable contribution to Cancer Research UK
  • A unique insight into the wedding industry

Time Commitment

A commitment of 2-3 hours would be appreciated.

Please let us know in your application when you are available and your preferred times to volunteer.

The show is open during

  • Friday 29th September – 10am – 5pm
  • Saturday 30th September – 10am – 6pm
  • Sunday 1st October – 10am – 5pm

Where will I be volunteering?

You will be volunteering at the Cancer Research UK stand at The National Wedding Show, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT

Why we need you

Every step we make towards beating cancer relies on every pound, every hour and every person. We need you to help us by volunteering. Play a part in this inspiring story and volunteer. Help us to create more tomorrows.
