About the opportunity
Cancer Research UK and the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership are funding a study to explore alternative ways of paying for new cancer drugs in the NHS.
We are forming a steering group to oversee this important study and we are looking for two patient representatives from Greater Manchester to get involved - one to share experiences of undergoing a clinical trial and one who has not participated in a clinical trial. These important perspectives will provide valuable insight about how treatment occurs in practice and will help us to identify what outcomes are most important to patients.
Your role will involve attending quarterly steering group meetings and sharing your views on what issues are most important to people affected by cancer. Once we have identified an alternative approach to funding that is likely to improve clinical and patient outcomes we will pilot this in Greater Manchester.
If you’re based in the Manchester area, this opportunity offers a real chance to improve local practice. For more information about the role and how to apply, please get in touch by emailing email@example.com or calling 0203 469 8777.
