A day to spare

From 25th - 29th September, four heroic Stand Up To Cancer supporters, all touched by cancer, will take on the epic challenge of canoeing a marathon a day for five days along the waterways of the North West. The ‘Paddlers’ will be supported by a host of our celebrity friends who will paddle with them along the way.

Be part of the action by joining our cheer teams who will be giving the Paddlers much needed encouragement along the 120 mile route.

Why we need you

We rely on every mile, every pound and every volunteer to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. This includes our cheering teams, who are essential in making sure our Paddlers can make it through the marathon distance each day.

At some of our cheer points we’ll also be collecting donations from members of the public. These collections will help fund game-changing cancer tests and treatments.

Together, we can take cancer out.

What skills and attributes do I need to have?

  • Lots of enthusiasm!
  • Bags of energy to make lots of noise to let our Paddlers know that we’re behind them all the way

What will I be doing?

You will be part of our cheering team located at various points along the route, responsible for cheering and supporting the Paddlers; encouraging them to keep going reach the end of both the day, and the week long challenge. Please feel free to bring friends and family along to help support the team and enjoy the event with you.
