Tresco Triathlon 2016
The sprint distance Tresco Triathlon will take place on Sunday June 26th 2016. It comprises a short sea swim; 12 mile cycle and 3 mile run. It starts on the beach at Old Grimsby close to the Ruin Beach Cafe and comes home at New Grimsby, close to the New Inn. We ask that all competitors taking part in the Tresco Triathlon help us to raise funds for Cancer Research UK – raising £100. There will be a Race Entry Fee of £25 per competitor. This will include your official Tresco Triathlon T-shirt, competitor’s medal, refreshments during the event and use of bicycle/helmet (if required).
Whether you're participating or supporting, this is a great day out on Tresco, with entertainment laid on for all once all the competitors are safely across the line! There will be a beach start at the Ruin Beach Café slip for a 0.36 mile swim and onto the transition area. Followed by a 12 mile bike ride, which is both on and off road. 3 x 4 mile laps, back to transition. Then, to finish, a 3 mile road run to Timothy’s Corner.
