The Greatest Row™
In partnership with Ollie Phillips, ex-England Rugby 7s Captain, the high value rowing event will take place on the evening of Thursday 24th March 2016 and will be at a high end central London location. We’d love to have you take part alongside a number of celebrities, valued supporters and other special guests for what promises to be a fantastic evening in support of Cancer Research UK.
The Greatest Row celebrates the incredible partnership between Cancer Research UK and the Oxford & Cambridge Boat Races, aiming to raise £3 million over 3 years. The event will bring together passionate fundraisers, including a celebrity team which Ollie will be heading up, for one grueling rowing challenge. The mixed teams will need to be made up of 6 individuals who will face the challenge of rowing a marathon with an aim to complete the 26.2 mile distance in the fastest time.
This is a challenging event and so will require physical fitness, training and dedication to undertake the Greatest Row. Concept2, the UK’s leading indoor rowing machine provider, will support along the way hosting an open evening at the start of March. They will also provide a bespoke training plan and a dedicated point of contact to answer any rowing questions you may have along the way.
There will be a minimum fundraising target of £500 for each participant and our CRUK team will be on hand to help with any fundraising hints and tips you may need along the way!
Special guests, family or friends are welcome to cheer you along the way and join you after the challenge for a champagne reception and pre-Boat Races party.
Teams are quickly filling up, so if you’re interested in registering a team, please contact the team on 0203 469 8170 or email TheGreatestRow@cancer.org.uk.
