With an overall elevation drop of over 50 meters, the Edinburgh Marathon is the UK's fastest 26.2 mile route and is ideal for novice and experienced runners.

This year marks The Edinburgh Marathon Festival’s sweet sixteenth and we want you to celebrate with us!

The course is fast and flat, with a stunning backdrop of the beautiful city and glorious sea. It caters for everyone and is ideal for the novice and more experienced runners, being voted the fastest marathon in the UK by Runners World. So grab the opportunity to achieve your personal best quickly, as this marathon has sold out every year since 2008.

If you're not ready for a full marathon yet, try its sister race, the  EMF Half Marathon.
