Take on a Tough 10 run around the scenic grounds of the Cornbury Park Estate. 

No obstacles - this is your chance to take on 10k of established trails and narrow paths on gradient changes that will keep you on your toes. The scenery is stunning too – if you get the chance to look!

This route starts with a beautiful view of the Cornbury estate - expect lots of ups and downs, challenging terrain and beautiful scenery. 

Here are some of the key statistics of the course terrain:

• 60% paths and forest trails
• 40% grass 

Please note this is an initial course description as the route may change before the event.

You must be aged 16 or over on the day of the event to take part. Persons aged 16 or 17 must take part with either a parent, guardian or, if having obtained their parent or legal guardian’s permission, another registered participant aged 18 or over.

Will there be a bag drop?

Yes. There will be a free of charge bag drop in the event area, however we cannot take responsibility for any belongings – please do not bring valuables with you.

Will there be water available?

Yes. There will be one water station around the halfway mark on the course and another in the finish area. 

What is available for spectators?

There will be refreshment stands where spectators can purchase food and drink.

Are there toilets?

Yes, there will be toilets at the venue.

Are there shower facilities?

There are no shower facilities at the event so we suggest bringing a change of clothes with you. 

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are not allowed at this venue.

Is the spectator area wheelchair accessible/suitable for pushchairs?

Due to the nature and terrain of the course it is not suitable for wheelchair access or pushchairs. Please note the car park and main event venue are all on grass which may be muddy in November.


The event is being held at Cornbury Park, Charlbury, Oxfordshire, OX7 3EW.

By car

Please use the South Hill entrance to the venue following postcode OX7 3EW. Ample free parking is available, please follow stewards' directions on the day.

The race will start at 11am. 

Please arrive 30 minutes before the start. You will need your running number that will be sent to you in the post prior to your event.

Before the race starts there will be a short warm up and safety briefing.

The route at Cornbury Park is a mixture of uneven paths, tracks and grass. Strong supportive running shoes are essential for this course.

As this route will take in open and exposed areas it could be cold and windy especially in November, please make sure you dress appropriately for the conditions and bring spare layers.


The race will be chip timed using ResultsBase.

The timing chip is a blue loop that attaches to one of your trainers and will be sent out to entrants the week before the event.

Event Day Volunteer

Whatever time you can join us at the event, there are so many ways you can help out on event day, whether you’re setting up marquees and putting out flags and banners or getting water to the start line and handing out medals at the finish. We’re on the lookout for volunteers with a proactive attitude and loads of enthusiasm to join the gang.  

Course Marshal Volunteer

Inspire, cheer and motivate participants by covering one of the marshal points on the course. This crucial role ensures the event runs smoothly and participants feel motivated. This role is perfect for team players with great communication skills who can use their initiative when dealing with anything that may occur on the course.
