Take on a Tough 10 run around the beautiful Ashton Court Estate in Bristol.
No obstacles – this is the chance to take on 10k of challenging forest tracks and grassy inclines leading you to fantastic views of Bristol, before tackling the steep descents back to the finish line.
The route starts just up from the Church Lodge Entrance, taking in the gentle slopes before heading up the muddy trails into the forest. Following a mixture of muddy tracks and grassy hills you will eventually reach the highest point at the top of the estate where you will be rewarded with spectacular views across the whole of Bristol.
Catch your breath and get ready for the return journey down steep pathways, forest trails, and grassy tracks back to the finish line.
Here are some of the key statistics of the terrain:

From the M5 come off at Junction 18 and head along the Portway – following signs to Bristol City Centre. Go under the suspension bridge and then follow signs for Weston Super Mare/Clevedon (A370). You then take the third exit off this road. Take the slip road to the traffic lights. Follow the road around to the right – going back under the A370. Take the next right as if you were heading back into Bristol. The Church Lodge entrance to Ashton Court will be on your left (before The Ashton pub).

Participants can be dropped off in the hardstanding car park (Church Lodge Car park), which is on the left as you drive in rather than driving into the main event car park straight ahead.
Disabled Car Parking

By public transport
Local buses stop by The Ashton Pub which is next to the entrance. For more information see https://www.firstgroup.com/bristol-bath-and-west/plan-journey/journey-pl...

The route at Ashton Court is a mixture of uneven paths, rocky and gravel tracks, and grass. Strong, supportive running shoes are essential, we would recommend trail running shoes, particularly if it is wet.
Please make sure you bring spare layers for the cold autumn weather and dress appropriately for the conditions.
The race will be chip timed using ResultsBase.
The timing chip is a blue loop that attaches to one of your trainers and will be sent out to entrants the week before the event.
