Peter Andre Foundation

Launched in April 2013 with Cancer Research UK, the Peter Andre Foundation was established as a way for Peter and his family to remember his brother Andrew, who sadly died of cancer in late 2012.

In October 2013 the Foundation announced a fundraising campaign called ‘Pete’s Champions’ which allows members of the public to carry out their own activities to raise money for The Cancer Awareness Roadshow.

How you can become a Champion and help beat cancer

Pete’s Champions offers you the chance to fundraise in your own way, from bake sales to sponsored swims. Each Champion will be given a gift based on how much they raise for Cancer Research UK. Everyone who raises over £2,000 before Pete’s birthday on 27th March 2014 will get to meet Peter. They’ll also know they have made a valuable contribution to funding The Cancer Awareness Roadshow.

To become one of Pete’s Champions visit the Foundation website and register your details. You'll then be able to download a fundraising pack and set up a JustGiving page in order to start raising money to beat cancer.

Know your body, know what’s right for you

The foundation’s message is know your body and know what’s right for you. We know that early diagnosis of cancer saves lives. The foundation raises money for Cancer Research UK and helps share cancer information via the Cancer Awareness Roadshow

There are four buses around the UK – in North East England, North West England, Scotland and London. The Peter Andre Foundation is funding the London bus, helping us talk to hundreds of Londoners every week. Members of the public can speak to cancer awareness nurses about prevention, screening and early detection. They also provide information about local health services, helping people to spot cancer early and reduce their risk of developing cancer.

“Losing Andrew has been devastating for me and my family but through my Foundation we can change the odds for people diagnosed with cancer in the future. This Foundation means so much to me and my brothers and we’ll be doing all we can to help people understand how important it is to know their body and to go straight to their doctor about anything unusual.”
