Scientist in a surgical mask working with a pipette and a petri dishCancer Research UK is committed to developing the next generation of leaders in cancer research. If you are a clinician committed to combining research with clinical practice then our funding schemes and career opportunities can help you achieve your goals. We welcome applications from anyone whose research is relevant to preventing, diagnosing or treating cancer.

We fund opportunities at all clinical career levels from Research Bursaries to Senior Cancer Research Fellowships.

The Research Bursaries for clinicians and professions allied to medicine allow applicants to be freed from clinical duties to pursue a short period of academic research. Funding of up to £25,000 is available.
