About Caetano Reis e Sousa

Dr Caetano Reis e Sousa leads the Immunobiology Laboratory at our London Research Institute. His team is investigating how our immune system detects and responds to infection.

Using this knowledge, Dr Reis e Sousa is developing ways to harness the power of the immune system to target and destroy cancer cells. This exciting field of immunotherapy research has great potential to deliver more effective cancer treatments in the future.
