Manage a grant online using eGMS

""Cancer Research UK's electronic Grants Management System (eGMS) can be used by applicants to apply for funding and also by those who are currently funded by Cancer Research UK and host institution administrators, to carry out post-award grant management tasks.

All current Cancer Research UK post-award grant management processes are now carried out in eGMS.

The list below gives a few examples of grant management processes that are carried out in eGMS:

Acceptance of awards

Before a grant award letter can be sent out, both the lead applicant and the host institution administrator need to accept Cancer Research UK's terms and conditions. Once an award has been accepted, it can be activated.

Activation of awards

Before a project can begin, the lead applicant must submit the 'activate award task' which is done through eGMS.

Receiving grant award letters

Grant award letters are no longer sent through the post. Grant award letters can be viewed by both the grantee and by the host institution administrators.

Submission of financial reconciliation forms

Financial reconciliation forms are now processed through eGMS. These forms will be available in the system within a month after the award has started.

Submission of equipment claim forms

Equipment claim forms are now processed through eGMS, and administrators are able to upload invoices on the system.

Review of payment schedules

Administrators are able to view all payments that are due from Cancer Research UK to their institution in eGMS.

Submission of scientific milestone reports

Scientific milestone reports are processes through eGMS. The lead applicant will be emailed informing them that they need to submit a scientific milestone report (with a clear deadline by which the form needs to be submitted). The grantee will be able to download the form that needs to be completed. This can only be submitted if the grantee has confirmed which of their publications are attributable to Cancer Research UK funding.

Submission of final reports

The lead applicant will be informed when a final report is due for completion within eGMS. This can only be submitted if the lead applicant has confirmed which of their publications are attributable to Cancer Research UK funding.
