Tobacco Advisory Group
The Cancer Research UK Tobacco Advisory Group (TAG) is a funding and policy-setting committee focussing on several key priority tobacco policy areas. Through the TAG, Cancer Research UK aims to complement its policy and campaigning work by funding related projects and research, as well as other work of national and international significance.
TAG supports research, organisations and partnerships. The committee currently funds two main areas of national tobacco work - policy research and policy campaigning/advocacy activities.
A small amount of support is given to health promotion research and interventions.
The Committee meets twice a year and assesses applications on the basis of scientific excellence and potential impact on policy and practice.
