You can ask your friends and family to sponsor you online or you can send your money via cheque (along with your sponsor form so we are able to claim Gift Aid), made payable to "The Bobby Moore Fund" to:

Your entry fee does not include a donation to the charity, but there is no minimum amount that we ask participants to raise. However, as a charity we receive virtually no government support.

We rely overwhelmingly on the success of fundraising events such as Run for Moore, which help us to continue to tackle bowel cancer. That's why we hope you'll aim to raise a minimum of £50 – our fundraising page will help you achieve this.

All the money you raise will go towards vital research into bowel cancer. Find out more about the Bobby Moore Fund and Cancer Research UK's work.

We have to charge an entry fee to cover unavoidable administrative and organisational costs to make sure that every Run for Moore event is safe and fun. By charging an entry fee we make sure that all your sponsorship money goes straight to the Bobby Moore Fund.

We do everything in our power to keep the costs as low as possible. Any money left over from entry fees, after costs, goes directly to support our research.

Run for Moore has been introduced by popular demand. This event is very similar to Race for Life, which is a women-only run. Find out about the Bobby Moore Fund's other events which are open to both men and women.

If your sponsors are UK taxpayers, the government's Gift Aid scheme allows us to collect tax back on their pledge. Gift Aid could increase your sponsorship total by at least 25 per cent. This means that for every £100 you raise, the government will give us at least £25 at no extra cost to your sponsors.

Please ask your sponsors to tick the Gift Aid box on your sponsor form. In order to claim Gift Aid, we must have a copy of your sponsor form with your sponsors' full names and home addresses, including postcode. We can also claim Gift Aid on any donation you make personally if you are a UK taxpayer.

If any of your sponsors have ticked the Gift Aid box, it is essential we have a copy of your sponsorship form. Otherwise we cannot claim tax relief from the government.

Some of our most successful events have happened in the rain and Run for Moore events will only be cancelled if there are severe weather conditions. Make sure you are suitably dressed for your event and remember that most venues do not have changing rooms or left luggage facilities.

There is no entry on the day. We therefore recommend that you enter as soon as possible before the run so that you can guarantee your place and start your fundraising. We cannot guarantee that you will receive an entry pack in time if you enter the run less than 14 days before the run. Enter Run For Moore now.

All the courses are different. Visit the venue pages to find out more about the individual courses and terrains.

At present we do not offer the facility to enter as part of a team and each person needs to enter as an individual. However, you're more than welcome to run together on the day, and many do just that.

There is no obligation to run, we welcome all walkers and runners!

Toilets will be provided at each of the venues along with first aid facilities. Refreshments will also be available at a cost. We are unable to provide showers, changing rooms or left luggage facilities. Water will be provided at the end of each run.

The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK cannot take responsibility for under 16s on the day. We therefore insist that all participants and volunteers under the age of 16 are accompanied by a responsible adult who is (or has obtained permission from) their parent or legal guardian.

For safety reasons we cannot allow pets on the course.

We will time and publish the top ten runners at each event. We will also provide a clock at the start and finish gantries for you to note your own time.

You will receive the following items:

  • On the day event information
  • Running number
  • Sponsorship form including fundraising hints and tips
  • T-shirt
  • Information on www.runformooresponsorme.org where you can set up an online fundraising page

If you haven't received your pack within 14 days of entering, please call 0871 641 2214 during business hours – Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm.

Unfortunately no. For health and safety reasons we need to ensure that the race organiser has all the details of the runners on the day.

In exceptional circumstances a change in venue can be arranged. However, due to the administration costs associated with this it is not encouraged. If you need to change your venue please call 0871 641 2214, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9am and 5pm.

Yes. Find out more about volunteering at a Run for Moore event.

It is more cost-effective for us as a charity if you use this website as opposed to calling us or writing to us, so more money can be spent on the Bobby Moore Fund's lifesaving work.
