"It was the first year I had ever participated in Relay. I lost my father to cancer seven years ago and I was delighted to take part. The event was great and there was an amazing level of camaraderie amongst my colleagues."
Carole Johnson, RBC Wealth Management, team member, Relay For Life Jersey, 2008
Getting a group of colleagues involved in Relay For Life is a fantastic way to encourage team-building, bring people together and make a mark on your local community.
By fundraising for Relay For Life, you will be helping us beat cancer an issue that touches the lives of many of your employees and customers.
Entering a corporate Relay team is really easy – simply find your nearest Relay and follow the 'Enter a team' links.
How a corporate Relay team works
A Relay team is a group of between 8 and 15 colleagues, who work together to raise as much money as they can for our lifesaving work.
The team will then join members of your local community for an inspiring overnight event to celebrate your fundraising achievements.
What happens once you enter your team
Once you've registered as a team captain, you’ll receive an email with information about how to invite your colleagues to register as team members.
When your colleagues have registered they will all receive a welcome pack containing:- A Relay For Life t-shirt
- A fundraising planner
- Candle of Hope dedication bags
You will also be put in touch with your local Relay Committee the group of volunteers who organise the Relay For Life event in your area.
Raising money to help beat cancer
Before the Relay, each team raises as much money as possible to support the work of Cancer Research UK.
This year we are asking each team member to try to raise at least £200 for their Relay (just £17 a month over one year of fundraising).
