Your money helps fund Cancer Research UK's life-saving work. This includes research into the prevention, detection and treatment of cancer. And progress is being made:
- More people are surviving cancer; the overall mortality rate for cancer has fallen by 10% in the last 10 years alone.
- The five-year survival rate for women with breast cancer is now around 80%, compared to around 50% in the 1970s.
- 98% of men diagnosed with testicular cancer are now successfully treated.
- More than seven out of ten children with cancer are successfully treated.
