Cancer Research UK has a small fund available to support specialist meetings and conferences run by our grant holders and researchers at CRUK Centres.
  • The meeting or conference section must be within the remit of our Research Strategy
  • Applicants must be Cancer Research UK grant holders or a researcher at a Cancer Research UK Centre
  • The meeting or conference must be in the UK
  • The lead applicant should be an individual directly involved in organising the meeting or conference

Research areas:

Applications for support at conferences and meetings will be considered from any area relevant to Cancer Research UK’s funding remit. For more specific details of conferences and meeting support provided, please refer to the application guidelines.

Funding support is provided for:

Bronze £100 – £1,000: This could include sponsoring a session or a UK named speaker* at a meeting or conference, or facilitating a small conference or meeting.

Silver £1,001 – £5,000: This could include sponsoring several named speakers* as well as facilitating a conference or meeting.

Gold £5001 – £15,000: This could include sponsoring several named speakers* as well as facilitating a conference or meeting. We envisage that only a small number of meetings and conferences will receive a Gold award.

* UK speakers up to £500; international speakers up to £1,500.

All funding decisions are subject to funding being available, and at the discretion of Cancer Research UK’s Science Funding staff.

Applications will be considered throughout the year and a decision will be made 8-12 weeks after submission. The application process has just one stage, to submit a full application.
