A range of creative materials have been developed centrally by the Department of Health for all the current Be Clear on Cancer campaigns to support local activities to promote cancer awareness and early diagnosis to the public. This page gives you all the information you need to download, access and use the Be Clear on Cancer materials.
Five things you need to know
We know that lots of projects will be using the Be Clear on Cancer materials in their activities, so we’ve pulled out the top five things you need to know about using the Be Clear on Cancer brand and materials:
- Print-ready PDFs of posters, leaflets, symptom cards and other support materials are available on this page to download and print locally – just select the tumour type you need to find out more. If you would like to access Be Clear on Cancer advertisements for press, radio and outdoor please contact projectsupport@cancer.org.uk.
- The only local customisation of materials that is permitted is the inclusion of local NHS branding in place of the standard NHS logo. The logo of a partner organisation can also be added, but the DH suggests a maximum of two logos per creative. All materials are currently available in English. Prior to translating any Be Clear on Cancer materials please read the guidance on things to consider before translating materials into different languages. If you have any further queries please contact projectsupport@cancer.org.uk.
- Any resizing of creative materials or changes to logos (including the addition of partner logos) will be made by Corporate Culture. The standard cost of resizing is £60 per item, however, please get in touch with projectsupport@cancer.org.uk so that the team can find out if there are any additional costs and the time scales involved for supplying the required artwork.
- The Department of Health have provided an Advertising Support Pack and guidance on the use of the Be Clear on Cancer brand that includes a detailed list of the collateral that is being produced for each tumour type as well as more information on using the brand in local activities.
- If you have any further queries regarding the use of Be Clear on Cancer materials then don’t hesitate to contact a member of the team on 020 3469 8018 or at projectsupport@cancer.org.uk.
