Treating anal cancer

Men and women discussing anal cancer

This section is about treating cancer of the anus. The treatments described in this section are for the most common type of anal cancer, squamous cell cancer of the anus. Adenocarcinoma of the anus is treated in the same way as a rectal cancer, so if you have adenocarcinoma you should go to the treating bowel cancer section.
